Nevena Pagureva

Hello! My name is Nevena, and I was part of the first graduating class of the “Chemical Engineering and Contemporary Materials” program. I was born in Pazardzhik and from a young age, when I was still in school, I already loved chemistry and exact sciences. I enrolled in this program because its units seemed very intriguing, and I could see possible post-graduation career opportunities.

I began working in the Department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering during the first year of my studies. During my third year, I had the opportunity to go on a one-month internship in Paris, where I used the knowledge acquired during my studies. Going back 15 years, I realize that enrolling in this program was one of the most important and best decisions I have ever made! Completing the Chemical Engineering and Contemporary Materials program, and the related master’s degree “Disperse Systems in Chemical Technologies”, helped me acquire knowledge and skills that I still use daily. They are the reason I can solve the many interesting scientific challenges that my work as a researcher confronts me with. Remember: “All our dreams can become reality if we dare to pursue them!”
