Admission

The teaching program for Chemical Engineering and Contemporary Materials is conducted through a regular form of training over 8 semesters. Students are exempt from paying semester tuition fees.
For the academic year 2024/2025, the university will hold two sessions of entrance exams for prospective students. Both these exams will be competitive and will cover the same programs.
To register for the exams and be considered for ranking, applicants must exclusively use the university's online system available at: https://online.uni-sofia.bg. Applications submitted after the specified deadlines will not be accepted.

*The highest grade obtained in any of the exams taken will be considered for ranking. Please refer to the Grading rules for further details.
The following documents are required to take the exams:
  • Participation application completed in the electronic system, with valid personal data and e-mail.
  • Proof of payment for the participation fee. The fee for each exam is 30 BGN. Payment can only be made through the methods specified in the electronic system.

  • Application form completed in the electronic system
  • Scanned copy of high school diploma
  • Proof of payment for the ranking participation fee. Payment is made through the electronic system after registration.
First stage
Ranking notification: July 11th, 2024
Enrollment: from July 12th to 19th at the "Students" department of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy
Second stage
Ranking notification: July 23rd, 2024
Enrollment: from July 24th to 30th at the "Students" department of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy
  • Original high school diploma along with a copy. The original will be immediately returned to the holder after verification against the presented copy.
  • ID card
  • Two ID photos
  • The set of documents for newly admitted students. It can be purchased from the bookstore in the Rector's building, or at the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics.

Score = [high school diploma or exam] * coefficient + diploma grade in Chemistry*
For a coefficient of 3: diploma in a qualifying subject or exam

  • Note

    *When the high school diploma contains two grades in a qualifying subject, one of them being from the matriculation exam and the other from the study unit, the grade from the exam is considered as the qualifying grade.
